LOCAL PARTNERSHIP
Missio Local is a network of partnerships with the purpose of supporting gospel work in our City and around the World. Scripture gives us the command to make disciples locally, nationally, and globally. These partnerships are one of the ways we are seeking to accomplish that end. Below you'll find information on ways to get involved with each of these partnerships.
CITY GOSPEL MISSION / the little village
City Gospel Mission helps the homeless and hurting break the cycle of poverty and despair … one life at a time. They engage, equip and empower those in need with the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical skills and resources to achieve long-term life transformation and self-sufficiency. Their proven programs and services are centered on caring, personal relationships focused in four key service areas: food and shelter, recovery, at-risk youth and job readiness and placement. You can email City Gospel Mission at contact@citygospelmission.org.
YOUNGLIVES
YoungLives has never wavered from the original vision to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Through Young Life’s time-tested methods and life-on-life mentoring, teen moms are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ. You can email YoungLives at CincyCentral.YoungLives@gmail.com
YOUNGLIFE
Young Life doesn't start with a program. It starts with adults who are concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don't happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency.
THE ARUNA PROJECT
The Aruna Project creates lifelong freedom through employment marked by holistic care to sexually enslaved women. By combining the best of non-profit and for-profit, we envision a day when every young woman is free to choose her own adventure. You can email Aruna Project at info@arunaproject.com.
carabello coffee
We are proud to serve Carabello Coffee at our Sunday gatherings. Carabello Coffee started in a garage in the fall of 2009 with a philanthropic vision, a hot air popcorn popper and a few pounds of green coffee beans. From there Justin & Emily Carabello have steadily grown their small business as a way to help fund sustainable change in underdeveloped coffee producing nations. Learn more about our partnership with Carabello Coffee at missiodei.org/carabello.
FOCAS (The Lord’s Gym)
FOCAS was founded as the “Foundation of Compassionate American Samaritans” and desires to see the transformation of lives by changing individuals, families, neighborhoods, and generations for the glory of God. They do this by going to people in need in Greater Cincinnati, neighborhoods, creating safe places, demonstrating God’s love in practical ways, declaring the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit, developing disciples of Jesus Christ, and encouraging self-responsibility.
They have three primary ministry activities including the Lord’s gym workout and discipleship program, street outreach to connect to those trapped in exploitation and trafficking, and family activity centers that provide classes and youth sports in under-resourced neighborhoods. You can email FOCAS at info@LordsGymMinistries.org.
